So I have been trying to start my blog for years now. However as always life gets in the way. Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Jimmy Lloyd. I am a father of 3, have a 4 year old and 6 month old twins. My profession is a pen tester. But passion is cyber security. I have had a great pleasure of working in a few industries. I started working for the DoD then moved onto private sector working for a Silcon Valley startup. This is where I found my passion. Automated security and DevSecOps. I know I know DevSecOps is not a thing. It’s just DevOps. However I think it needs to be added to the title as security is an integral part of agile development. I stayed developing a security scanner tool for use by developers. The idea is to integrate in the cicd pipeline. Just as tools like new relic have brought QA tools to the developer, I believe security tools should also be available to your development staff. I understand you cannot automate full security testing like penetration testing, but I think it’s a good start.
So I am going to attempt to start blogging once a week. I am planning on talking about ideas and concepts I come across and what value I feel they bring to an organization.
As life is not only work I might talk about my crazy life with infant twins and a little boy who only stops when he’s sleeping.
